Associate Memberships are for for-profit, U.S. small businesses (and/or their principal officers) with U.S Government (USG) domestic contracting history or experience in international development, but with no past or current U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) or other USG Agency contract experience providing foreign assistance. Associate Members have the ability to transition to Full Membership type upon receipt of a USAID or other USG Agency foreign assistance prime or subcontract. After 5 years of membership with SBAIC, if the company has not been awarded a prime or sub-contract with USAID or other USG Agency Foreign Assistance, it will no longer be eligible for membership. 

Annual dues for Associate Membership are $200 with an additional $7 for electronic check (ACH) and/or credit card payment processing.

Associate Member benefits include:

  • Company Profile on
    Members can update their own profile on the website in real time.
  • Exposure in SBAIC quarterly newsletter.
    Member companies can submit articles, events and news to be included in the newsletter on topics relevant to USAID and other USG agencies providing foreign assistance.
  • Ability to be a volunteer on a committee.
    The Board consists of the following committees: Executive Committee, Communications, Membership, Procurement, and Outreach.
  • Log-in access to the SBAIC Info Hub.
    The Info Hub provides access to your company information as well as a calendar of events, member directory, and other resources.
  • Receive updates on USG small business procurement and other SBAIC initiatives via email and in bi-monthly member meetings with featured guest speakers.
    Meetings occur on the first Tuesday of every other month.
  • Attend SBAIC's Speaker Series six times per year.
    Our speakers provide critical information on contractual, financial, legal, and other relevant topics that help members be more competitive.
  • Ability to sponsor and participate in quarterly SBAIC Networking Receptions with USAID, State Department and others.
    These events immediately follow the USAID and State Department Annual Small Business Conferences.
